Getting Help
HitKeep is an open-source project built in public on GitHub. The source code is available for audit, the issue tracker is the primary support channel, and the maintainer answers directly. No support tiers, no ticket queues.
GitHub Issues
Section titled “GitHub Issues”GitHub Issues is the primary place for bugs, feature requests, and setup help.
Reporting Bugs
Section titled “Reporting Bugs”- Search existing issues — someone may have already reported it.
- Open a new issue and include:
- HitKeep version (from the startup log line)
- Deployment method (binary, Docker Compose, Kubernetes)
- Your configuration (flags or
compose.yml, with secrets redacted) - Relevant log output and steps to reproduce
Feature Requests
Section titled “Feature Requests”- Check whether the feature is already tracked in open issues.
- Open an issue with a clear description of the problem you are trying to solve.
- The more specific the use case, the better — especially for enterprise or compliance requirements.
Setup Questions
Section titled “Setup Questions”If the Installation Guides don’t cover your scenario, open an issue describing your environment. Answers become part of the public knowledge base.
